Halper Architects LLC is a full service architecture firm founded by Jon Halper AIA, located in Westport, Connecticut.

Over the past 28 years, Jon Halper’s work has been founded on a simple design philosophy: commitment to sensitivity of context, function-based problem solving and strict attention to detail. Halper Architects share a view of architectural history focusing on the fundamentals of architectural ideas, and these are applied across a range of styles.

The firm’s portfolio includes commercial, institutional and private residential projects, involving new construction, all scales of renovation, adaptive re-use and landmark conversions, widely varied in scale, function and style. The buildings are not recycled, autographed or drawn directly from historical example; they are the product of a rigorous design process and the unique characteristics and requirements of each project, and each client. The common denominator is the client who values excellence in design and construction, and Jon Halper invites client collaboration with the belief that it engenders better buildings.

Among Halper Architects commercial and institutional projects are numerous Ralph Lauren stores; the Interstate Design Center; the Saugatuck Rowing Club and Stamford Yacht Club; a corporate headquarters for Orrefors Crystal; and a Headmaster’s Residence for The Kent School. These and other projects have earned Jon Halper numerous awards for design excellence.
